Congratulations to this year's NYATEPā€™s Workforce Academy for Policy & Advocacy Graduates!
Mar 24, 2025
On March 17th, NYATEP had the pleasure of hosting the Workforce Academy for Policy & Advocacy Completion Ceremony at The Blake Annex in Albany, NY, where we celebrated the hard work and accomplishments of this year’s fellows. After five months of intensive training on workforce policy, advocacy, and legislative processes, these emerging leaders presented their capstone projects—each offering innovative solutions aimed at strengthening workforce development across New York State.
The event kicked off with inspiring presentations from the fellows, who highlighted creative approaches to workforce issues such as expanding access to training programs, improving equitable opportunities for job seekers, and increasing collaboration between businesses and educational institutions. Their policy solutions sparked engaging discussions among attendees and showcased the potential impact these strategies can have on New York’s workforce system.
Following the presentations, attendees had the chance to network with workforce leaders, policymakers, and advocates during a vibrant reception. This networking session, sponsored by Pursuit, provided a valuable space for building connections and exchanging ideas with other professionals who share a passion for workforce development and policy reform.
We want to thank all those who joined us in celebrating the fellows' accomplishments and contributing to the discussions on workforce policy. The cohort is excited to continue pushing for stronger policies that support economic mobility and workforce development.
Stay tuned for more updates on NYATEP’s initiatives and how you can get involved in shaping the future of New York’s workforce. Applications for next year's cohort will open in August 2025. Mark your calendars!
