NYATEP Statement on Governor Hochul's 2025 State of the State

Governor Hochul’s State of the State address underscores the importance of investing in workforce development to secure New York’s economic future. We are thrilled to see a focus on the benefits cliff, workforce data and the expanded apprenticeship opportunities. This state of the state demonstrates a bold commitment to equipping New Yorkers with the skills they need to thrive in high-demand industries. By making education and training more accessible, the Governor is creating pathways to opportunity and driving our state toward a more inclusive and resilient economy.

 The Governor’s Executive Budget will be released in the coming weeks and will include more specifics on policy and fiscal implications for the proposals outlined in the State of the State.
