NYATEP Attends SOMOS 2024

NYATEP was honored to be part of the Somos Conference 2024 in the beautiful San Juan in Puerto Rico. The conference started on Wednesday, on the heels of Election 2024, which altered some of the themes for the days ahead. A Lot of the discussions around funding, the economy and workforce development. We cannot succeed unless we work together- and that includes both private and public sector organizations. It was good to hear many talk about wraparound services for all New Yorkers, and we are hoping to see initiatives out of the Governor’s Office in her Executive Budget to support that! 

It was wonderful to see and meet with so many of NYATEP’s members, affiliates, and stakeholders. NYATEP was particularly proud to see NYSDOL Commissioner Roberta Reardon and her Chief of Staff Molly Streb, NYSERDA Commissioner Doreen Harris, NYS EDC Executive Director Ryan Silva, Opportunities For Better Tomorrow’s Co-Executive Director, Evelyn Ortiz, NYCETC’S Executive Director Greg Morris, NYS Business Council’s Heather Briccetti Mulligan and Cynthia Brackett, Alyssa Braldey, and the entire team at Center for Employment Opportunities!
